L&#8217;universo \u00e8 a tutt&#8217;oggi una entit\u00e0 di cui conosciamo veramente poco. Ufficialmente il dibattito scientifico sull&#8217;esistenza o meno di vite extraterrestri ha inizio con il paradosso di Fermi, &#8220;Se lo spazio brulica di vite, perch\u00e8 non ne abbiamo mai incontrata nessuna ?&#8221;. Per far cadere questo paradosso basta osservare che nessuno pu\u00f2 dimostrare che sulla terra non sia mai avvenuto un incontro del terzo tipo. Fu pi\u00f9 tardi che Drake formul\u00f2 la sua equazione che stima in modo statistico il numero di civilt\u00e0 extraterestri presenti nella nostra galassia. The universe is still an entity of which we know very little. Officially, the scientific debate on the existence or otherwise of extraterrestrial life begins with the Fermi paradox, &#8220;If space is teeming with lives, why have we never met any?&#8221;. To dispel this paradox, it suffices to observe that no one can demonstrate that an encounter of the third kind has never occurred on earth. It was later that Drake formulated his equation which statistically estimates the number of extraterrestrial civilizations present in our galaxy.
